      Answer to my prayers…

I’ve been through more saddle bags than I care to think of but the 76 Projects Piggy Saddle Case might just be The One. It holds just the right amount and fixes up super tight to there’s no rattling on our awful chip sealed roads. The materials seem pretty robust so they won’t wear through like a lot of saddle bags.

All in all, it’s a superb solution to a perennial problem - so much so that there are now 3 on our regular group rides!

This little piggy rode all the way home

Brilliant bag, fits just about everything you’ll need to fix your bike on the road and will even let you fix a Stix Light if you ride an S-Works Power Saddle like me. Crank up the fat strap and it’s super secure and doesn’t mess with your bike aesthetic like other bags can!

Overall, as simple as the saddle bag is, 76 Projects has really focused on the details that make the difference. It’s a great shape and just works really well while coming in at a decent price.

          Best saddle bag yet

Fits a specialised power saddle perfectly or on the top tube on the gravel bike with everything you need!

Good quality, but smaller than expected

The pack feels well made and fits securely. However, it is very small. The volume of the ‘0.5L’ one is actually 0.4L. Do the maths with the stated dimensions. It does fit an inner tube, patches, and small multi tool, but only just. My standard parktool tyre levers are too long to get the zip done up, so had to shop around for smaller ones. Still a good purchase though.

          Well made but too small

Very well made but too small for more than one CO2 cartridge, tube and tyre levers. Might however, work for you based on what and how much you need to carry.

Also slipped a bit under the saddle interfering with Garmin Varia Radar unit. Sadly will need to look to another larger unit.

          The best I've used

Highly recommended. The design highlights are:
          - wide strap (doesn't budge on/off road)
          - 0.5l storage space (perfect as strap shrinks it down)
          - full zip (it folds fully open so you can reach everything)
          - sturdy fabric (it won't wear through on contact points)
